INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Wright State women's tennis team received it's first individual award of the spring on Wednesday, as Karina Presti was named the Horizon League Player of the Week.

The junior helped guide the Raiders to a 1-1 record during the past week, falling to Milwaukee and winning their first match of the spring against Lipscomb. Presti posted a singles victory in each match and teamed with Jessica Lee to hold a 2-0 record in doubles.

Presti won her first singles match of the weekend against Milwaukee's Martina Schnapp in comeback fashion in the #2 position. The junior fell in the first set 3-6, before winning the next two by scores of 6-3 and 11-9. Against Lipscomb, Presti defeated Olivia Ellis 6-4, 6-0 in the #3 position.

In doubles Presti and Lee won the #1 doubles match against the Bison and took the #2 doubles match versus the Panthers.

The next match for the women's squad will be on Sunday, March 2 as they host St. Louis at Five Seasons Tennis Club. The match will start at 10:00 a.m. between the Billikens and Raiders.
