The Wright State softball team split a pair of games Friday at the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tennessee, defeating Jackson State 7-1 before falling to Kentucky 5-1.

Jackson State led 1-0 heading to the third, but WSU tied the game with a run in that inning on a Jamie Perkins sacrifice fly. The Raiders then went in front for good with five in the fifth, the first two scoring on an error followed by a two-run single from Kristen Bradshaw and a RBI hit off the bat of Allison Cox.

Louie Haney rounded out the Wright State scoring in the seventh with a home run to center.

Bradshaw had two hits and two RBI to lead the Raiders while Haney scored twice. In the circle, Sharon Palma picked up her second win of the season, allowing just two hits and an earned run in five innings with six strikeouts.

The offense, though, was held in check against Kentucky as Wright State managed just three hits, one being a RBI double by Bradshaw for the lone Raider run in the sixth.

Wright State, now 3-9 on the season, continues tournament play on Saturday with two more games, taking on Buffalo at 4:30 and Eastern Illinois at 6:45.
