MILWAUKEE, WI - The Wright State women's soccer team dropped their Horizon League Tournament semifinal match to Loyola on Friday evening in Milwaukee. The Raiders launched 17 shots, but couldn't break through for the match winner.
The two teams played a scoreless first half, with WSU holding the edge in shots at seven-to-six, and Raiders keeper Meghan Hackerson posted four saves in the half.
In the second half, Loyola finally dented the scoreboard when Heather Lau headed in a rebound after a Cara Morawski shot was saved by Hackerson. The goal came in the 81st minute and was the deciding tally in the match.
Each goal keeper made five saves in the second half of play and WSU launched ten shots in the half.
The Raiders end the season with a 13-6-1 record, the most wins in one season at WSU, and claimed five victories in the Horizon League, which also set a school record.
